The past years at POWER SHIFTER have been an exciting time of growth — we've taken on more challenging, innovative projects; we've honed our Design Thinking processes to produce award-winning work. We've led with empathy and simplicity, and kept our clients' users' best interests at heart every step of the way.
To thank for our many successes is our CEO JP Holecka at the helm of the POWER SHIFTER ship. We're thrilled and honored that JP's leadership is being recognized on a global scale, with UK-based CEO Monthly awarding JP the 2022 CEO of the Year award for British Columbia. Dedicated to keeping a finger on the pulse of the world's top leaders, entrepreneurs, and companies, CEO Monthly created the award to highlight CEOs who demonstrate remarkable leadership in their fields. This year, JP stood out as the CEO paving the way in BC.
The annual awards program involves a thorough nomination and panel review process. Rather than functioning as a popularity contest, the CEO of the Year program is based on the excellence and achievements of the CEOs and their companies. At POWER SHIFTER, we always lead with excellent work: egoless by design, we're most proud of our processes, the strength and longevity of our client relationships, and the ways we've deviated from the status quo. To achieve recognition from a program that foregrounds integrity, innovation, and knowledge-sharing feels just right for us, and we're incredibly proud of JP for receiving formal recognition for his superb leadership.

In speaking to our industry-leading digital solutions, CEO Monthly also features JP's other proudest accomplishments: the efforts he's made to redefine agency culture. In the article, JP notes: "Our industry is notorious for long hours, toxic work environments, and a lack of equity and inclusion. I have made it my mission to advocate for more empathetic work environments that are safe places for ideas to foster." Under JP's leadership, we've learned that our differences are often our greatest strengths—in part due to his transparent approach to his own neurodivergence, and his experience with his ADHD and dyslexia. Through JP's recognition in the CEO of the Year Program, is it our hope that more leaders will follow suit, centering and celebrating the diversity on their teams and fostering environments that cater to different backgrounds and working styles.
